Does it matter if devices go straight to the TL-R605 router vs devices > TL-SG2008P > TL-R605?

@Tate321 The normal connection is modem---router--switch--devices. 

You can connect the device to the router directly, and the switch connecting to the router at the same time. (modem--router--devices and switch, then other devices to switch).

@John1234 So it doesn't matter either way. If want to hardwire an AppleTV I can connect it straight to the R605 or I can connect it to the SG2008P > R605. it doesn't affect the way the data monitored or anything is that correct?

@Tate321 It doesn't matter for you to connect the TV to R605 directly or connect as R605--SG2008P--TV, both of the connection diagram can work great.
