Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 4.3.5

Hi,

I recently purchased an OC200 controller as a replacement for my Omada Windows based, but it seems that the Windows based has a higher version thus cannot migrate my existing configuration to the OC200. I'm planning to convert the TL-R605 to standalone mode but not sure what would be the effect, would it reset it to factory settings or keep the existing configuration on the device and just release the management so I can adopt it again on the OC200 hardware controller. Want to minimize the downtime as much as possible for this activity. I'm having problems as well on the OC200 as it does not let me create or edit the LAN interface without adopting the gateway first. It's stuck in the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet and I'm using another subnet for this particular network.

Thanks

Switching from controller management to standalone will reset the router. I suggest you upgrade your OC200 to the latest version. I asked TP-Link before and got the download link: https://we.tl/t-DoXPcxC4hG

@Somnus

Yeah.. figured that I either wait for a downtime that I can reset the factory or wait for the OC200 to be at par with Omada software that I have which is 4.4.4, surprised that they're not shipping the same version to the hardware controllers. Will email TPLink support regarding this.

I was told the download link above is the official firmware of OC200. Don't know why they haven't released it on their website.

The zip in your link contains the file OC200v1_un_1.9.1_20210721_rel39263_up.bin. That's not 4.4.4 but the old stable firmware.

@Mike_E

Yeah, looks like I have no choice but to schedule a downtime to reset to factory and adopt it and do my setup again with the OC200 now.

Just upgraded my OC200 and the link works. They're now in the 4..4.4 version.. This should solve my problem. Thanks for sharing the link

Just did the migration process, about 1 min downtime to transfer from one controller to another controller.

@Somnus Indeed, I drew my conclusion from the file name. But after installation is does report as 4.4.4. Thanks !
