Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I'm looking to run both the Ubiquiti Unifi software controller and the tp-link Omada software controller on the same Windows server.

Omada won't initialize; it is complaining of port 8843 is in use:

Unifi Lists the ingress ports its controller uses:

tp-link lists the ports Omada uses, however 8843 is not listed:

(https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/kb/detail/362)

Based on port usage, I assumed both software controllers can reside on the same Windows server. Has anyone reading this run both? Why is the Omada controller trying to use a port that's not in thier port usage list?

@DIT

Yes I have multiple unifi and omada controllers on same computer. You have to change port 8843 to something els. I use 8844 .

Shut down unifi controller and start omada, then change port in omad and start unifi controller.

Omada won't initialize; it is complaining of port 8843 is in use:

On Omada Controller, Port 8843 is used for HTTPS Portal redirection as well.

You may change the HTTPS Port for Portal on either controller to run them on the same server.

That worked just fine. Thanks shberge and Fae. 🙌

Odd that tp-link doesn't mention port 8843 in their documentation.

I've forwarded this to the support team to update the related documentation. Thank you for your feedback!
