@Fae : I tried to follow your advice in my previous thread: https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/509870?replyId=1018420

I tried upgrading my Omada Software Controller: Version 4.2.11  => Version 4.4.6.

What I did:

  1. Back-up data and settings
  2. Stop the old Docker container
  3. Start a new one based on the latest version
  4. Restore everything
  5. Login and bind TP-Link ID

Everything worked fine, except step 5.  Every time I try this,

I get the same error message: "Failed to get response from the server".

Any idea what went wrong?

@Fae I was able to get it working.  By not using the webapp, and by using the iOS app instead.

PS: this is the exact same problem:

https://uonfu.com/q/mbentley/docker-omada-controller/62/674383175

The suggested solution doesn't work:

I'd suggest checking to see if you're doing any sort of ad blocking that could be interfering with the ability to communicate to the cloud service.

I tried again without PiHole or AdBlock enabled, and the problem persists.

Dear @FlashWeave,

It seems that the controller cannot communicate with the cloud server.

Are you able to ping the external IP addresses on your docker to check the Internet connectivity?

Is there any log information on your docker when you try to login and bind your TP-Link ID but fail?

If you don't mind, please send me your TP-Link ID via private message so that I can check if there is any related log from the cloud.

Thank you for your valued feedback. Glad to know that you have resolved the issue finally.

As for the upload stats issue you posted in this thread, I'll keep you informed there once there is an update from the R&D team.
