Combine 2L-SG2008P switches to give me 12+ usable ports Using Omada
What is the proper way to combine 2 of the TL-SG2008P switches together? I had to buy two of these since TP-Link doesn't offer a 16 port POE switch at an affordable cost and the 24 port POE is too expensive and overkill for my 12 LAN drops.
I currently have port 8 on one switch connected to port 8 on the other switch which is uplinked to the ER605. I've seen people discuss LAG ports...but I have little networking experience with combining switches. Can someone with more experience recommend the method using the Omada controller for aggregating the ports so that I have 14 ports to work with across the two switches?
If there are multiple ways can you cite some use cases for each way? Thanks for any help you can provide.
