Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0

I use the ER605 Router configured with Hardware OC200.

Issue Description:

I have configured the Bandwidth Control Rule List as below with the respected IP Address. But, It limits the Bandwidth to whatever rule is at the top.

E.g.

I have a device with IP Address: 192.168.0.21, Which falls in the IP Group MAX.

I have Applied bandwidth control for Group MAX to 100Mbps, but my device gets limited to 30Mbps because the top rule (Office) gets applied to that device.

Observation:

So, what I found after a lot of combinations, is that whatever rule at the top gets applied to any client connected respective of the group it falls in.

Please find below screen shorts for more clarification.

Note: Let me know If I am doing something wrong. Any help is appreciated.

  @Pratz

I suggest that you try changing the subnet mask to 32 when setting up the IP Group, 24 may contain too many IPs.

  @Virgo

I hope the following can help you, and it works on my device.

The effective priority of bandwidth control rules is as follows: if a device IP belongs to multiple rules(IP Group or Network) at the same time, the rule which more near to the top of the bandwidth control rule list has better priority. If the device IP you are testing belongs to both Max and Office_PC, it is normal for the bandwidth to be limited to 30Mbps.
If you want the device bandwidth in Max to be limited to 100Mbps, try to long press and drag the rule on the page to make the rule of IP Group Max at the top of the bandwidth control rule list.

  @Virgo I am not sure how that worked, but it did. Thank you so much. Can you please explain to me why that worked?

  @Pratz

If you change it to 32 then it only refers to this one IP address alone.
But you set it to 24 then it means that the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, which contains a lot of IPs.
