trying to update SG2008P V1.60 get wrong firmware
have 3 SG2008P V1.60 switches. I try get firmware
it says download is: TL-SG2008P(UN)_V1.6_1.0.5 Build 20220909 but downloads TL-SG2008P(UN)_v1_1.0.5_20220909
Figured they must be the same and attempted to update, but it reported it was the wrong firmware.
Where do I go from here?

@Somnus The label on the switch is SG2008P V1.60, We have OMADA on a Linux server and it shows hardware SG2008P V1.0 firmware: 1.0.0 Build 20200608 Rel.76470 and does not display the S/N. but as stated, the download page says the file is TL-SG2008P(UN)_V1.6_1.0.5 Build 20220909 but click the download button and it down loads TL-SG2008P(UN)_V1_1.0.5_20220909. I thought maybe V1 & V1.6 were the same and unzipped and attemped to update with the .bin file and it reported that it was not the correct file for this unit. I did not see an `easy "upgrade" button` only the Custom upgrade.
For TP-Link switch, V1 & V1.6 are the same hardware (just the sales channel is different), and they use the same firmware.
For your current firmware 1.0.0 Build 20200608 Rel.76470, please upgrade the switch to the middle firmware TL-SG2008P(UN)_V1_ Build 20210407 first before upgrading to a later firmware, then upgrade to the latest firmware TL-SG2008P(UN)_V1_1.0.5 Build 20220909.

What is your current firmware? Did you unzip the file and choose the .bin file to upgrade?
You can try to use Omada Controller to manage your switches and the controller can detect and upgrade the switch with easy "upgrade" button.

@Fae Thank you. I missed that line. It will be next week before I can try again. It would be nice it what is stated is going to be downloaded is what the actual file is and since they are the same, the that should be stated in the upgrade docs to avoid confusion.

You're welcome. Thank you for your kind advise on this, I agree with you and I've forwarded your feedback to the support team as a reminder, hope they state this in the subsequent upgrade docs to avoid further confusion.
