BUG: New OC200 firmware will not save widget layout information
2022-11-08 13:28:59 - last edited 2022-11-08 14:06:34
Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.20.1 Build 20220921 Rel.35880

As the subject says...

After loading the latest firmware, all the widget layout locations were changed.., editing the layout and moving everything to where I want it works, until I log out and log back in again, then the layout reverts back.

Cannot believe stuff like this does not get picked up in testing...!

Thank you very much for reporting this issue in the forum.

Would you be willing to provide the Backup configuration file to our senior engineers for further testing?
If so, we can escalate your case to the support department for follow-up so that you can provide the backup file.

Best Regards!

@Hank21

I'd be happy to send last night's backup for review.  However, I do not know the proper email to send it to the , "senior engineers".  If you could let me know, I'll send it right away.

For everyone's information, here are the steps that consistently will recreate the issue.  I've passed this information along to support.

  1. Go to my 'Clients' or 'Network' Dashboard (self-created pages)
  2. Select the Gear in the upper right to permit changes to the widgets
  3. Drag and drop widgets as desired
  4. Select the Gear in the upper right to save the result
  5. Log off
  6. Log on
  7. Go to my 'Clients' or 'Network' Dashboard
  8. Changes made above in 1-4 are not as I left them

Note that I did not reboot.  I just logged off and then back on.  These steps are absolutely repeatable.
