  @Billnet

EAP110 only supports 24V passive POE.

That means it can not be powered on by a PoE switch. Standard PoE is 48V.

Could be a number of things...bad cable or cable too long (need at least Cat5e or Cat6 for PoE). Is your switch PoE or PoE+? If the EAP110 requires PoE+ your switch has to support that PoE standard.

/edit - the EAP110 appears to be just passive PoE, not PoE+, so your PoE switch should be fine, presuming you're not already using up all the PoE power it can provide. Try another patch cable - attach the device directly to the router using a short/known-working patch cable to ensure it can get power from the switch properly, then move it to its final location, and ensure the patch cable connecting the EAP to the Switch is working properly.

  @Billnet what switch do you have? Post brand and model or a link to it. As Shorsey stated, the switch and device POE type needs to be the same. I think the EAP110 is Passive POE. Sounds like your switch may be Active POE but cant say until you post the model.
