@Tatin The EAP-110 will not go that far at all for what you are trying to do.  You have to check 1st with ISP EULA also and make sure you can do this legally????  ISP's here will NOT allow you to share internet with multiple houses.

@Doc2485 I´ve already checked with the ISP, I´ve got a personalized contract with a local ISP who allows me to do it. Now, ¿do you know if thre is a way to set it up as a client?, or do I have to buy another one diferent

@Tatin, EAPs are just access points. They don't support client mode.

@Tatin

I am trying to do a similar thing with my eap-110 so I hope it can do it.

I don't know what @r1d2 is talking about - I am setting up a captive portal which I want my neighbours to log into when they access my Eap-110 that has the internet (I am not in the UK)

Whether it will work for you 3 houses down probably depends on where you place the ap and they place their receivers - if they have a line of sight then assuming the houses are terraced (about 7 meters I guess) then it should easily reach them.

I have mine outside at the moment and with a clear line of sight I can pick it up easily 40 meters away - probably further.

The reason I am struggling to get it working is because I cannot get the portal to authenticate the user signing on... there seem to be so many different versions of the omada controller (which you need for portal functionality) and eap firmware that I'm not sure I've got the right ones installed yet!!!

So what you may need to do is use the omada controller software - I don't think you can set it up in stand alone mode - which maybe what @r1d2 is thinking about.

@Bebe1980, the thread opener asked how to connect an EAP110-Outdoor wirelessly as a client to an existing WiFi network to share his Internet over the EAP's LAN port with the neighbor's wired network.

This is not possible with EAP110-Outdoor. It lacks client mode.

@R1D2

I'm sure you are right - I didn't know that client mode implied wired.

Anyway thanks @r1d2 you actually solved my problem - reading one of your other posts on here I discovered I was using very out of date omada controller software and firmware possibly meant for an eu model when my eap110 is US v3!

So big thank you - I updated everything following the links you provided to v4.1.5 and everything is now working.

Because I've only got the eap110 I also "forgot" it in the controller and set it up again in standalone mode with eap software - much simpler but not very nice - more functionality in the Omada Controller - so it's overkill for my simple set up but very impressed with it especially as it's free!

@Bebe1980, you're welcome.

Yes, Omada SDN Controller is feature-rich and has a nice web UI, but stand-alone mode is easier to set up if you have only one or two EAP.

Don't worry about firmware versions, the US model should refuse non-US firmware versions when trying to upgrade it.

BTW, when using two EAP225-Outdoor meshed wirelessly it is indeed possible to link two wired LANs together. But EAP110-Outdoor can't even do this b/c it has no mesh function.
