Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I made a setting in standalone mode back then, which is not accessible via controller mode (SNMP / Get trusted host IP).

So my idea was to forget the router and re-adopt to get rid of this setting. The manual says forgeting means reseting. So, is it really that easy: forget (=reset to default ?) an re-adopt? Or is there anything to consider?

If the router is currently managed, then 'Forgetting' it via the controller interface will cause it to do a factory default (reset).  It should then re-appear as an available device for adoption and this time around your SNMP command will not get pushed.

Alternatively, if you are NOT managing it with a software controller, you will need to do a the factory default through the web interface, or via the reset button.

Either way, that SNMP setting will not be persistent afterwards.
