Should EAP110-Outdoor be mounted facing any direction? Should the front (with tp-link logo) face be facing the direction we need  wifi?

  @Gii in usual fashion TPlink gives mixed info on this. The MAP section in OMADA lets you set the direction of the device LED when you place your APs. If you follow that guideline, with the 110 LED being on the side, it shows the coverage area being 90 degrees off. For example one of my EAP110 OD is facing East, which puts the LED facing North. If input the LED facing north as it instructs, it shows the covered area being north and south, which I am willing to bet is not the case.

 

I would stick with the face (logo side) and back being the primary directions of coverage. Disregard the icon for the AP, it does not represent actual oreintation. The logo is facing east but I input north as the direction of the LED.

  @Gii Above post is correct...weakest signal is when you can draw line from end user device straight through both antennae (ie from the side).

  @d0ugmac1 thank you! Maybe this is why they recommend putting the antennas in 45° angle do the sides

No, the compound 45' orientation of the dipole antennae is to ensure the radio waves are 90' apart...because having horizontal and vertical polarity of the radios provides the best performance of multi-spatial connections.
