I setup an OpenVPN server, downloaded the client contig file Omada generated, started up OpenVPN and get this error..

ROUTE: route addition failed using service: The object already exists.   [status=5010 if_index=26]ROUTE: route addition failed using service: The object already exists.   [status=5010 if_index=1]
 

I see that error mentioned on Google a bunch of times but no solution.

My client laptop is Windows 11 Pro.

OpenVPN client 2.6.x doesn't work at all

OpenVPN client 2.5.x says the cipher is deprecated plus the error above

OpenVPN client 2.4.12 doesn't give the cipher warning, but does show the error I posted above about the ROUTE. The OpenVPN client says its connected but I want to connect without that error.

Anyone know how to fix this on my client laptop and remove the ROUTE error.
