Model: ER8411
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.04

I have an issue where the performance of the port forwading seems to have an slow troughput problem on the ER8411. Any firmware version (have just installed the beta too)

I have a 1Gbit / 1Gbit WAN link connected to EthWan port 4.Behind that is a 10Gbit network connected to the SPF+ port 2 using a Mikrotik 10Gbit SFP+ (there are other components in the network, but excluded for simplicty)

PC1 runs Iperf and teh ER8411 has a Port Forwarded of port 5201 to that PC

Network has an OC200 hardware controlller to run it.

1) PC1 speedtest to Ookla internet gets 1g/1g full speed result both directions.(900+ / 900+)

2) PC2 iperf tcp connection to PC1 gets 10g result both directions (9000+ / 9000+). So we now PC1 has plenty of speed.

3) However Iperf from WAN to PC1 gets maximum 600 in both directions (even with more than 4 threads of Iperf)

4) If I change the gateway back to a TP-Link ER605 gateway, WAn iperf to PC1 gets full speed 900+ both directions.

Also note - If I move off the LAN SPF+ 10g and connect the cable instead to a 1g lan port on the ER8411, the iperf from WAN goes full speed.

Is there some setting to help with this packet port forwarding rate or a fault of some kind perhaps on the ER8411 specifically do do with the 10G SFP+ port?

I'll soon have a 10g WAN to test again on too.

Some other feedback too

- Can we set other SFP+ WAN rates other than 10g or 1g? - eg 2.5 or 5 - the SFP+ module supports it but the ER8411 only has 10 and 1 as options

- Can we enable the fan to be forced on? The SPF+ is really hot and having the fan running would help (temp of the router reports 59 degrees, but the fan is idle)

  @Morm

Facing same issue with 1G WAN connection on 10G LAN. With my configuration the speeds goes eventually to 1G but that takes 10 to 20 seconds to reach full speed. I only tested with 1.0.4 beta. I need to do more testing to get more information. I'm currently working on to set up a lab environment for the ER8411.

I also wish to have 2.5G and 5G options on the router.

  @Morm

Why not test version 1.1.0?

  @Nebur692 I've gone through all versions but just saw 1.1.0 appear today. I will try it but I dont see anything in the change log to suggest this issue will go away
