TL-SG2210MP v3.6 vs v4 vs v4.6
Hi,
What is the difference between the hardware versions of the switch TL-SG2210MP v3.6, v4, and, v4.6. I bought a switch a day ago an got v3.6. I wanted to get the latest but it is hard to tell which one you will get and the sellers do not specify the hardware version. I am thinking of returning v3.6 and getting v4.6. Perhaps it will be trial and error to get v4.6.
I cannot find any information on what the differences are between these hardware versions. I would like to know before making the effort of returning and buying replacment to get the latest version.
Thank you!

Hi @varn
Only for certain models that may have a big change in the specs, then you have the option to choose the version. I personally checked your version which does not have any big changes. So, it does not have that option.
I referred to the datasheet and there are merely idle power consumption and heat dissipation change. Nothing on the performance.

Hi @varn
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
There is any big change in it. See the source: V3: https://static.tp-link.com/upload/product-overview/2021/202112/20211224/SDN%20Smart%20Switch_T16(20211221).pdf
In summary, functions and other specs remain the same. It changes certain parts from a different supplier. As we cannot always restock from the same supplier all the time during production. However, they have the same performance as we pick the parts that function the same way.
If there is a big change, we will specify it on the product page. On the Specs page, you can choose different versions to compare.

Thank you @Clive_A! This is useful info. What is the link to the webpage that you have the screenshot for?
I am looking at this page https://www.tp-link.com/us/business-networking/omada-sdn-switch/tl-sg2210mp/v1/#specifications, and cannot find a selector for hardware version.
Thank you!
