Model: ER707-M2
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi, i have a ER707-M2. it is a multi port GIGABIT port Router

Port 1 is pure WAN PORT while the remaining ports are WAN/LAN Ports

I only have 1 WAN and is connected to PORT 1.

my wireless networks are working well, in it is an EAP 650 that is using VLAN 10 addressing.

I created a new VLAN called VLAN 50 and set the dhcp range etc.

I have configured the last port (PORT 6) in my router ( OMADA ER 707-M2) to PVID 50 as shown below.

I assumed that anything that is plugged to PORT 6, will now get the VLAN 50 addresses.

So i plugged in a laptop in this port and indeed it was assigned the VLAN 50 IP Range and Gateway.

BUT no device in VLAN 50 can cannot connect to the internet. My pc cannot ping the gateway as well.

can please point me to any article how to enable this or can anyone be kind enough tell me where to start looking at.

Thank you

everything looks right, try and ping 1.1.1.1
then you try to ping against eg google.com

I did a test on my ER707, no problem.

Same, it is as if something is blocking something. I can't ping my gateway, nor i can ping anyting on the internet.

Do you have any gateway ACL?

@MR.S Hi, thank you for the response. I only have 1 ACL, and it's to prevent my GUEST hotspot from accessing the Gateway management page.

The thing is i can't ping the VLAN Gateway.

i'm using a Cloud Controller and ER707-M2. I'm not sure if i need a switch to make this work. My switch is still few days away, so i was wondering if i can do VLAN on the spare router ports based on my post.

Still no luck, i have even deleted this entry and still it does not work. The entry here is not even related to the VLAN that can't access to the internet.

  @IanCC

I made an exact similar setup. it worked from my pc right away. so there must be something that blocking the internet for you.

but what it may be is a mystery.

Do you have any VPN policy routing or other advanced configurations on your router?

but there is something wrong, I tried to connect a UNIFI UDR, it got IP but no internet. I had to specify in the WAN settings on the UDR that it should use VLAN 50 even though the PVID was set to VLAN 50 on the ER707

@Clive_A  Do you have any explanation for this,

@MR.S hi, no VPN or special setting was done. All i did is this

1. Create a new VLAN in the LAN section, set the IP range and DHCP

2. Went to configure the PORT 6 of my router to use PVID 50.

3. connect my laptop via ethernet to PORT 6

4. laptop receive VLAN 50 ip address and gateway but no internet Connection.
