Model: EAP653
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.6

I've just bought a PoE switch TL-SG10005P 1 Gb and an Omada EAP653.

All my devices, PCs and BOX are recognized by the switch in Gigabits (green light) but the Omada point of acces is only recognized in 100 Mbits ( orange light ).

It results that on my PC a speed test from internet in Ethernet is up to 60 Mbits in download but when it is connected through wifi from Omada, I only get 9 Mbits in download so Streaming and games connections suck.

Can you please help me. Thank you

  @Demoon

Use another ethernet port on the TL-SG1005P to connect the EAP653.

If that doesn't help, change the ethernet cable with another one of a good quality (CAT 5E/6).

You can observe the negotiated speed at EAP653 side here:

This is an unmanaged switch and there's no settings for its ports to negotiate bandwidth at 1000mbps - it's autonegotiated.

I have tried to connect my different devices through the 4 PoE Gbit ports and the problem is not the cables or the point of accès but the switch.

The 3 firsts ports of the switch are in gigabit and the 4th and 5th give only 100 Mbits.I have tried to change devices and cables, the 4 and 5 stay in 100 Mbits.

Is there something to turn these 2 ports in Gigabit?

Thank you
