Hi @PhiiiiL
Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Hey Clive, will this also come for the ER605 v2? I had a look at the other thread for ER605 but i didnt found if it will come or never. Thanks
As some "great and careful" users in that thread made me removed all the information because it is merely about the ER605 V1 in that context, no other versions or models should be involved. I am afraid that I need to be careful in the explanation I make.
There is no information or schedule provided to me regarding this feature.
It should be implemented to all series if their hardware would be suitable. Some new firmware will come up soon. News I've heard about. Just pay attention to the new releases I posted, that might be something you are after.

FYI - for all ppl interested in the Local DNS capability the following shows Flash and Ram specs on the ER7206 and ER605
Note that Flash size is the most relevant spec to be considered for loading the new firmware.

Feb 07, 2025
Following specs are from the Model/Version Datasheets on TPLinks website
ER7206 v1.0 & v1.6
Flash 4MB SPI + 128 MB NAND
DRAM 512 MB
Rated specifications are based on test results using software version ER7206(UN)_V1_1.3.0 Build 20230322. Device performance
may vary as a result of the actual scenario.
ER7206 v2.0 & 2.6 & 2.26
Flash 128 MB NAND
DRAM 512 MB DDR4
Rated specifications are based on test results using software version 2.0.0 Build 20230515 Rel.81487. Device performance may
vary as a result of the actual scenario.
ER605 V1

@Clive_A Yes, I have seen that, but I don't think it closes this topic ;). What about v1 hardware? I'm more than willing to try a beta version, just need to get a hold of it. Thanks!

As Clive said all models will get the new release if the hardware supports the new firmware.
That is why I posted above the Flash spec for the different versions of ER7206 and ER605.
As you can see the ER7206 V1 actually has better spec than ER7206 V2 because they removed the 4MB SPI chip in V2. The V1 has the 4MB SPI chip and the same NAND flash of 128MB as the V2.
I think we have been VERY patient waiting for this critical function. I have been waiting now since January 2023.
Hopefully the firmware for ER7206 V1.0 will be released very soon.
Thank you
