ER706W Wifi Not Appearing using Controller
ER706W 1.0.4 Build 20240319
Controller OC200 1.29.4 Build 20240304 Rel.54362
I am attempting to configure a newly acquired OC200 and ER706W.
I am going to replace existing router and getting the ER706W ready. Want to test Wifi.
Regardless of what I do nothing shows up in list of Wifi connections in clients (phone or PC).
Steps to create. I've tried this multiple times with all sorts of combinations:
1. Go to Wireless Network
2. Create a Wireless network with password.
Add and get Operation successful.
I've tried Force Provision
Now, to confirm Wifi is working and re-adopt:
1. Forget router from OC200
2. Connect to device in non-controller mode
3. Do initial setup and enable Wifi
4. Disable DHCP (still using existing router) and Change IP address of router (controller on different subnet, can't seem to adopt if different subnet).
I can immedialty see the Wifi names when listing wifi devices in clients.
Now I go to OC200 and adopt the router, then try to add wifi networks. Can't see anything.
Is there anything different when configuring using controller? Are there any alternative logs than Application Result?
TIA

@MR.S how to enable gateway on SSID? There is no visible wireless, only wired network is visible.
Please kindly refer to the Omada Controller User Guide. I have pasted the screenshot for you.
Also, please try to familiarize yourself with our system. About the SSID settings, it would only be located in the WLAN or Site settings. Site settings contain the overall settings for wireless devices like Fast Roaming or EAP Mesh.

@MR.S Thanks, that worked.
But more questions - what's the difference between them.. I guess EAP is a seperate access point (any of their models that start with EAP)? And gateway is.. on the router?
Looking at the SDN controller user guide PDF all it says for Device Type is 'Select the type of devices that the wireless network can apply to.'. Doesn't explain the difference between EAP and Gateway.
Should I only select Gateway and not combine with EAP?

Then is your firmware up-to-date?
Have you checked the compatible list in the firmware release? See the post on SDNC page.

@Clive_A Thanks for this, i was struggling for a bit there :)
I had to delete and re-setup the SSID's to enable the gateway option though
