Model: OC200   EAP245
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: V5.13.30.20

Hello everyone,

I recently installed an OC200 controller + 3 APs EAP245 with the latest firmware versions

OC200: V5.13.30.20

2 x EAP245 V3: 5.7 Build 20220611 Rel. 55043

1 x EAP245 V4: 1.2.1 Build 20230824 Rel 61490

I am having problems with this installation with smartphones and tablets (iOS and Android).

It is impossible to connect them to one of the two configured SSIDs (One is a GUEST SSID with Portal and Voucher). Devices do not receive IP addresses.

Conversely, Windows PCs can connect without any problem to the two existing SSIDs

I called T-PLINK support, who checked the configuration of the infrastructure, they recommand me to upgrade everithing with the latest firmaware...what I have done.

For them everything seems fine, but the problem persists.

Below a schema of how it is build.

Maybe one of you has an idea?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Alex.

  @Alex57

I would confirm you have low DHCP lease times on your core router.

Also download inSSIDer on your laptop and confirm you have good wireless signal in your area.  Anything below -73 is bad.

Sounds like you have low/bad wireless signal.

I can not teach anyone anything - I can only make them think - Socrates

Hi @Alex57

Could you share some screenshots of your SSID settings here? Could you try to disable 6GHz, set the WPA mode as WPA2 not contains WPA3, and disable PMF? Please also try to disable the portal and see whether the SSID will work fine with your devices.

Hello  @KimcheeGUN ,

I've checked the signal, I'm never under 50 and for the DHCP lease it is default settings.

Thx.

 Hello  @Hank21,

I've changed to WPA-Personnal AES, PMF is by default disable and I have only 2,4Ghz activated.

Portal is also desactivated.

Let me the week end to do some tests and I'll came back to you with informations.

Thx.

Alex
