VLAN DHCP issue on Ubiquity AP
Hi,
I have a multi-brand setup in my office that includes a TP-Link TL-ER605 (HW v2.0) router with the latest firmware, a Cisco SG350 24P PoE switch, and a Ubiquiti U6 LR access point.
I created a new VLAN with the IP address 192.168.30.1 and VLAN ID 30, and I enabled the DHCP server for the range 192.168.30.100 to 192.168.30.200. When I connect my laptop, set the VLAN ID to 30, and configure the network for DHCP, the router assigns an IP address from the DHCP address pool correctly. However, it is not providing a VLAN IP for the Wi-Fi SSID.
I have configured VLAN 30 as a third-party gateway in the UniFi Controller and assigned this VLAN to the SSID "test_vlan." Despite this configuration, the router does not give out DHCP addresses for this SSID. I also attempted to set a static IP for the wireless device, but it still does not connect.
I haven't created any ACL rules, and I am not using the Omada Controller; I am using the web GUI to configure the TP-Link router. Can you help me understand why the router is not providing a VLAN IP to the Wi-Fi SSID?
Thank you!

no, it doesn't work with vlan, so you probably have to configure and everything is fine. but to be honest, since you have 30 unifi access points. buy yourself a USW-48-PRO-POE

Hi @TOSC
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
In case you need any guide to confirm if you have configured it correctly.
How to Set Up VLAN Interface on the Omada Router
For the UBNT controller/AP, or any other switch, you gotta make sure they has been configured properly with the VLAN.

okay here is a screenshot of a Cisco SG300 in one of my networks, you need to add vlan on the ports that ned vlan, in your case most ports should look like what I have marked.
first create vlan in VLAN Settings and then connect vlan to interface like here.

then you have something between the ER605 and the unifi access points that do not support vlan. connect your SG300 switch directly to the ER605, then connect the access points to the SG300. remove the unmanaged switch.

I configured the exact same network as you from scratch, here is the config
ER605 config
Switch config
Unifi config vlan
Unifi SSID
everything work reight away. so remove switches you dont have control over..
