Overview

We hope to offer you a chance to experience the new features added in the VIGI NVR in advance, and also give us TP-Link the opportunity to fully test the software in your real network environment and scenarios before the official release. All feedback is welcome, including letting us know about successful upgrades.

Release Notes

New Feature

1. Added support for POE network isolation for POE-supported NVR. When the network isolation switch is enabled, IPCs powered by PoE can only be managed by the NVR. Additional operations such as rebooting PoE-powered IPCs can also be performed.
2. Added support for the Active Defense feature, which supports centralized management of sound and light alarm configurations for added IPCs.
3. Added support for new alarm linkage features, such as preview windows flashing, alarm linkage to other channels’ light or sound alerts, and PTZ linkage operations.
4. Optimize Password recovery features. If an IPC is bound to a TP-Link account, the password can be reconfigured via the VIGI APP by scanning a QR code.
5. Added support for modifying IPC IP address.
6. Added support for the asynchronous export feature in NVR GUI. When exporting data, the exporting progress can be monitored in the Download Center. Easily switch to other pages.

Firmware Download

Before the Upgrade

(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Beta firmware!

(2) Just in case, it's always recommended to save a copy of the NVR Config file before upgrade or downgrade.
(3) You may follow the User Guide to upgrade your NVR.
(4) The following beta firmware cannot be upgraded via TP-Link cloud access, please access the NVR through the Web Management interface or VIGI Security Manager.

(5) After upgrading the beta firmware, if you need to downgrade to a previous version, it is recommended to reset before continuing to use.
