SG2210MP v4.20 update issue
SG2210MP v4.20 update issue
Omada controller 5.15.6.7 cannot update SG2210MP v4.20 firmware from 4.20.4 Build 20241104 Rel.40492 to 4.20.5.
The Сontroller suggests installing a new firmware version 4.20.5 for my SG2210MP v4.20. I click update firmware, the controller says that the update process is underway ("Upgrading"), but nothing happens. After about 5-7 minutes, the switch has the status "Connected", but with the old firmware and offers an update again. Communication with the switch is not interrupted during the upgrade (ping not lost).

Omada software controller 5.15.6.7 does not have such setting in "Global view". Settings search not finding a setting "Cloud Firmware Detection ".
Also Omada software controller 5.15.6.7 page on tp-link site does not have user manual. The lastest version with manual - v5.14.32.4 .
The same issue with SG2005P-PD v1.0. Old firmware 1.0.5 Build 20241104 Rel.40492 and Omada software controller 5.15.6.7 shows a new version 1.0.6. But new version cannot install...

@Clive_A I now see this firmware (again) for SG2218 and SG2008 - previously it was pulled, and also was not showing for update after it was pulled. Now it shows again Is this update good for those two switches? How would we know - the same also applies to the OP on 2210MP - how will he know when the firmware is 'good'?

We indeed pulled one version previously. If you see it again at this moment, it should be the one re-issued.
You can update it and check if there is any problem with the controller communication. If there is no issue, that should be good.
We have tested them before the release but everyone's environment is not the same. If you run into an issue, start a new thread and describe your issue. We will take a look.
Pulled build should be seen as last Nov, 20241104, are you currently installed with this? The new compile should be Dec or another date older than 20241104.

We need details about this matter. Please provide the information we need to debug this:
1. OmadaCID or full URL that shows the ID;
For example:
You can paste the URL for me.
We can look up the log and see if we can find anything on our end about your cloud firmware upgrade.
2. MAC address of this troubled model.
3. Picture the Device page on your Omada Controller to learn about the firmware and hardware version. Or you can paste their current hardware and firmware version in the private message.
4. Date and time stamp of your action to upgrade the firmware.
Please send these in a private message. I have temporarily opened my message.
If you remote with us, please message me as well so we can schedule a proper time for the remote desktop.
