i had been successfully using wol from outside network for sometime now using ddwrt based router, but unfortunately i needed to replace it so
i bought this router. i first tried forwarding ports 7/9 tp/udp to broadcast ip of .255 but it would not accept it, then i tried fooling it by forwarding the ports to.127 and
subsequently changing subnet to .128, but that didnt work either. then i thought of using static arp entries, i tried achieving this by DHCP reservation coupled with
ip-mac binding, but somehow the arp list doesnt show the static arp entires, and so WOL doesnt work either way.
any ideas?
