I have a route plugged into the SG1024 on port 1. I have that set this as the uplink port.

I have a printer on port 7 pvid 3
a Laptop on port 12 pvid 2
a pc on port 16 pvid 3

I have 2 vlans with id 2 and 3
Vlan 2 has ports 1,7,12
Vlan 3 has ports 1,7,16
All are untagged

I can ping the printer on port 7 from pc on port 16
I cant ping the printer on port 7 from laptop on port 12

I'm I misunderstanding what I can do with this switch or have I missed something? thanks

Sending this switch back as there is poor to no support from the manufacturer or the community.

As there are many reasons to set up VLANs and many things you can do with VLAN's it would help tremendously if you could explain what you are trying to accomplish and then what you tried to do to accomplish this. As I read your 2 post here I am lost as to what you are trying to do with your VLANs.
