I'm currently playing around with a C250 camera trying to record video footage to an FTP server, everything is setup, I've tested the connection and setup continuous recording.

But when I go the camera and try to do playback there is never any footage.

 

Am I right in thinking that the camera can't record a live stream back to the FTP server? Does it require an SD card to be installed in the camera?

 

Or is the data actually being recorded back to the FTP server and I just can't play it back via the Vigi VMS Cloud?

  @Philip81 

• The C250 can upload motion-triggered snapshots or short clips to an FTP server, but it does not stream a continuous live feed to FTP and store it as playable video files.
• Therefore, if you want 24-hour “playback” you must either
a) insert a micro-SD card and let the camera record to it, or
b) use an NVR / Vigi VMS Cloud recording service instead of FTP.
