Can the SG2428LP supply access points with 24 volts via PoE?
Hello,
I bought an SG2428LP, which provides PoE.
This supports PoE 802.3at/af.
In my Omada System there are two EAP225 and one EAP 115 Outdoor integrated.
All access points use 24 volts PoE power.
Can I connect these access points via the SG2428LP using PoE?
The SG2428LP supposedly delivers 48 volts, or can it automatically reduce that to the required 24 volts?
Thanks :)

Thanks for the heads-up, I was misled by the included PoE adapters ![]()
It's always better to look directly at the access point.
The EAP225 has this POE-Adapter included:

So i am thinking this need 24 Volt PoE.
If i look at the Access Point directly does it look like this:

So the EAP225 can use the passive 24Volt with the Includes Adapter, but i can use also PoE with 48 Volts (802.3.af) from my new SG2428LP Switch ![]()
Also the same ist with my EAP225 outdoor.
All newer EAP6xx Access Points i use work without problems, as they do not passively use 24 volts anyway, use only 802.3 af/at.
Only my EAP110 outdoor forms the exception, he use only 24V Passive PoE ![]()
Unfortunately, this access point cannot be powered via PoE using the new SG2428LP.
I need to figure out what to do with that ![]()
Thanks ![]()

Hi @lukass2000,
Verify the spec on the poe devices and if they support 802.3at or 802.3af it will work. I think the 24 volt POE is needed if you use passive POE.

@lukass2000, I don't think TP Link makes any, but there are active to passive converters you can use. An 802.3at/af to 24v passive POE converter should be able to power the eap110 with the switch.

@lukass2000 You may use Specifications - POE2412G | Omada 24V 12W Passive PoE Adapter | Omada by TP-Link for EAP110-Outdoor, it is contain in box by default, and you can purchase it if you lost.
