PPTP VPN just stopped working TL-ER604W

Hardware Version : v1.0
Firmware Version : 1.1.0 Build 20141031 Rel.32628s
ISP : Virgin
Hi,
I can no longer connect to my VPN. It was fine yesterday. I have rebooted the router and tested the connection on two different devices. I set up a new PPTP VPN an it has the same problem. I sniffed some frames and saw that my PC is contacting the router and some communication is happening, but the VPN connection is not being made. On the PC I get a long wait at the "verifying your log on data" then I get "A connection to the remote computer could not be established, so the port used for this connection was closed" On my phone I get error 807.
What can I try?
