Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.34.18 Build 20260506 Rel.79284

Description / Current Behavior:

As the Omada Controller grows and introduces more advanced features, the graphical user interface (GUI) has become deeply nested. Many frequently used settings (such as specific profile configurations, firewall rules, client lists, or port status pages) are scattered across different tabs and sub-menus.

Currently, administrators have to memorize and click through multiple layers of the menu tree every single time they need to access their most-used tools, which slows down daily network management.

Requested Features:

1. "Add to Favorites" Option for All Menu Items

  • Every section, sub-menu, and settings page within the Omada Controller should feature a small icon (e.g., a star ⭐ or bookmark icon) next to its title.

  • Clicking this icon should instantly add that specific page to a personalized "Favorites" list.

2. Dedicated "Favorites" Sidebar / Custom Menu

  • Introduce a dedicated, easily accessible "Favorites" section at the top of the main navigation sidebar.

  • This section should act as a customizable shortcut menu, allowing users to build their own streamlined dashboard containing only the tools they use most frequently.

  • Users should be able to easily drag-and-drop or reorder these bookmarked items.

Value / Benefits:

  • Drastic Time Savings: Eliminates repetitive clicking and digging through nested menus to find deeply buried settings.

  • Personalized Workflow: Different network administrators have different priorities; a customizable menu allows every user to tailor the Omada GUI to their specific daily workflow.

  • Cleaner UX: Reduces interface fatigue by letting users bypass sections of the GUI they rarely interact with, keeping their most critical tools just one click away.

@KrispPL Additionally, please make every GUI navigation as a link to allow open it in a new browser tab/window with target navigation URL. Currently every navigation action is click event based only which is UX anti-pattern in web browser.
