Since there were no responses to this thread I managed to solve the problem on my own. It was easy, I ordered a netgear switch and swapped it out. The issue is now resolved.

I feel like I'm talking to myself but... Yesterday I disabled the LAG/LACP riggings and put the server on a single NIC to the switch. Reverted all switch settings to default. Just now caught a 'blip'...
