I guest it is a customerized firmware. if you have no problems at all, no need to use a different one.

On System Tools---Manage Control page, did you see ICMP? To check neither Remote nor Local should be proper for you?

All lights become dim for no reason? How did you recover it? Are you using latest firmware?
