Archer C8 Port Forwarding very limited !!
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
I find it rather ridicolous how limitied the Archer C8 is able to port forward ...
My previous router was a D-Link DIR-655 which had an almost endless amount of port forwards available.
A thing that makes the D-link WAY superior is the ability to name each rule - making it much easier to identify / locate each forwarding rule.
I know I'm more advanced than the average user, i have a Domain server, Cloud server, Web server, VPN server, Media server and a few more different kinds of servers. So i need to open lots of ports.
One of my friends who has kids with game servers and various other servers and they have more than 25 forward rules.
Could you PLEASE be inspired by D-Link and upgrade the forward mechanism ?
Or should i just give up and install DD-WRT ?
My Hardware: Archer C8 V1 - current firmware: 3.16.28 Build 20141023 Rel.70351n
