Model : Archer C60

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version :

Hi,
I am trying to access my NAS locally using a DDNS service. I've setup the correct port forwarding and everything seems to be working fine on external networks (e.g. 4G on my mobile device). I'm having problems using the ddns domain to access the NAS when on the same network (local).

I did some research and this seems to be because the router is not handling the nat loopback properly. Is it possible to activate the "ip nat loopback" in Archer c60?

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

The Archer C60 supports NAT Loopback, are you using the run box to access the NAS both in local and remote network? can you use the LAN IP address of the NAS to access it locally? and is the internal port and external port the same when you configure the port forwarding?

I have the same issue with my C5, you can try disabling the "NAT Boost" option. After this loopback works for me.
However, the router's performance also drops in this case (max 300 mbit/s)

I have a similar problem. In my case it works but It is extremely slow (I am streaming video). When accessed Internally It's much faster. How can I solve that?

Is your model the same as Archer C60?
Do you mean it's slow when you access remotely?
At the same time, you are streaming video? How about without streaming video?

Make sure the FW of the router is the latest one firstly.
More details will be better to help you.

Thanks for the response. I have an Archer 3150. Over the WAN/LTE the speed is good. When I access the same resource over the LAN then is becomes so slow that it is basically useless. The issue doesn't seem to be related to the video as otherwise it's sluggish too internally. Note that it's perfectly fine if I use the LAN address of the computer but as soon as I use my external IP, either through TPLinkdns.com or by using the IP directly then it is very slow. Again, if I am external then the speed is good. So it seems an issue with the loop back. I am on the latest firmware.

NAT loopback will transfer according to the rule of port forwarding and is dealt by NAT. so it will be slow.
In local network, we prefer directly use LAN ip address to access which is fast.

Anton, but when I access it from the WAN there is also port forwarding. So how is this different then when accessing it internally? I am trying to understand the source of the issue. As for using the direct address, that would be ideal but the software I use can't switch between IPs.

Thanhhang, how would I get in contact with support staff directly? Will they log into my system to help? And are they available 24h a day?
