Hi,

I have a c2600 router (hardware version v1.0) and bought in Belgium (Europe) and want to upgrade the firmware.

There is a warning on the website:

It is suggested to upgrade firmware from the local TP-Link official website of the purchase location for your TP-Link device. Please click here to change site if necessary.

Can i use the newer firmware on the international site ( http://www.tp-link.com/en/download/Archer-C2600.html#Firmware ) or only the one on the Belgian site ( http://www.tp-link.com/nl-be/download/Archer-C2600.html#Firmware ) ?

The firmware on the Belgian site is 2 years old...

What is the current firmware version of your router? which one are you trying to download? if the current firmware works fine, there is no need to update

I bought mine in Sweden. The swedish page fw version is much older then the unified version found here: http://www.tp-link.com/en/download/Archer-C2600.html#Firmware. This version supports openvpn which I use daily.

I'm a bit suprised of the lack of updates from TP-Link. Coming from Asus router where you got frequent security updates and patches.

Hi, you can upgrade it without issue as the orinal one is also UN version.

Hi vieldcs,

Current firmware is 1.1.7 Build 20160902 Rel. 33228 and i am considering Archer C2600(UN)_V1_170306
To be honest i was never impressed with the performance of the device:
Slow speeds (10 Mbps up and 334 Mbps down to my NAS over a 5 Ghz connection to Macbook Pro with Wifi AC) and weak signal :-(

The one on Belgian site is Archer C2600_V1_150924
The orignal one on UN webiste is also the same

Just upgraded to V1 170306 mine works fine Wirral UK
