Archer C5400 : Wifi random access + mess with Ethernet after power off
Model : Archer C5400
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version : 1.0.9 Build 20170406 rel.53986(4555)
ISP :
Hello everybody,
I have 2 problems with my Archer C5400 :
- The first is with the Wifi.
I have enabled the access control with whitelist and I can't connect on Wifi with (mostly from what I've noticed) Apple devices (Mac, iPad, or iPhone).
For example with my brand new Mac, I added the MAC address to the white list first, then I connected normally to the Wifi on my Mac.
So, where's the problem ? Each time I reboot my Mac, the connexion to the Wifi is lost and the connection with the password fails.
So, I have to go to the routeur admin interface and in the Access Control page, I just have to click on "Save" without making any changes and after that, I can connect to my wifi with my password.
But the next time the Mac reboots, I have to do this work again.
With some iPads I prepared, I had the same problem each time I restored them. I had to click on "Save" on the access control page to connect them.
- The second is with the Ethernet.
When I power off a computer with the Ethernet cable still plugged in, the Ethernet and Wifi network goes crazy, nothing works.
But, as soon as I disconnect the Ethernet cable or the power cord from the computer, every goes back to normal.
For the record, I added this routeur under my Internet Provider one and I put a different subnetwork on each routeur.
These 2 problems drive me crazy and I'm starting to think of selling this routeur to buy another different one.
Thank in advance for your help ! :)
