Has TP-Link been made aware of the issues already and are they intending to release updates to equipment to solve or mitigate the severe vulnerability ?

US-CERT Advisory states
US-CERT has become aware of several key management vulnerabilities in the 4-way handshake of the Wi-Fi Protected Access II (WPA2) security protocol. The impact of exploiting these vulnerabilities includes decryption, packet replay, TCP connection hijacking, HTTP content injection, and others. Note that as protocol-level issues, most or all correct implementations of the standard will be affected. The CERT/CC and the reporting researcher KU Leuven, will be publicly disclosing these vulnerabilities on 16 October 2017.

Thank you.
Glad to know my C7 V2 is not be affected because i don't use wds.
Also i get some important details from the author:"Our main attack is against the 4-way handshake, and does not exploit access points, but instead targets clients. " i think i need check my iphone and laptop with apple and microsoft.

The router is not the source of the security flaw (unless you use it in repeater mode). It's the clients. The hacker would have to be sitting outside you property on the off chance one of you devices reconnects to you router. Even then they could not steal your credit card details (unless you shop on un-secured websites alot). So relax people! :D

Microsoft already has released - and I have installed - a security patch for Windows 7 users. As the man said, it's client-based, not explicity your router! People owning Android-based devices are especially vulnerable, and iOS devices have not as yet received patches, to my knowledge (we have iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone7 connected to home WiFi).
