Hello!

I'll try to describe the situation first:

The house has 3 floors

1- has the RE200
2- has the modem and router
3- has another RE200 and also Ethernet cable going directly to floor 1 where the RE200 is located
*it's not possible to move the router and modem to the 3'rd floor

The range extender on the 3'rd floor connects very good to the router on the 2'nd floor
The ranger extender on the 1'st floor can't get a good connection at all

Is it possible to connect the RE200 on the3'rd floor to the ethernet cable and then connect it to the RE200 on the 1'st floor?
Will it help somehow? Will it help to connect it first to a switch, then the switch to the cable going down to 1'st floor?
If not, is there any other product that can be used like that (Get wireless signal on the 3'rd floor, extend the range, and also 'extend' it by cable to another ranger extender)?

Hope I was clear,
Thank you!

Hi,

i have exactly the same question as you. Want to connect 2 RE305 via LAN to extend distance through wall and both REs should transfer further the WLAN signal on both sides.
Is this possible via Access Point Mode ?

thx in advance

RE305 or RE200 do not support LAN cable connection to router
RE350 , TL-WA860RE( V2 ) , RE450( V1 ) , RE400 support access point mode.
