Hello all,
I'm trying to solve this with support people but it doesn't seem to get anywhere. Also tried to search the forum and couldn't find anything. There are dozens of FAQs out there on TP-Link/Mac issues but they're all very old and didn't help at all.
I have a WA855RE extender that works perfectly with a PC but the Mac will not work with it. It's exactly as if I had the password wrong, it connects briefly but without the password window going away, then it disconnects and gives me the message of "wrong password".
I tried this procedure: http://www.tp-link.com.br/faq-407.html but not only it's the wrong model, but it's obviously outdated.
If someone can send some hints it would be very appreciated.

On the back label, next to the model, you will see (US) or (EU). Also you can compare your firmware version with the US website or an EU country website, see if the firmware of your extender belongs to which version.

take a look at the conversation above, this firmware worked for me. you have to install it in the repeater with the ethernet cable.

I'm also looking for some rescue for a brand new TL-WA850RE EU Ver 4.0 that doesnt work with MacOS, and got "bad password" issue..
I installed some 850rev4-up-ver1-0-0-P1[20171116-rel36232] that i found in TPLink site, but no results :(
Dear @TP-Admin do you have any beta firmware for 850RE? or i can go with firmware for 855RE from above?

there is a beta firmware link that worked for me finally and all my OSX devices works!

btw. why they do not drop this on www. i was searching a lot found nothing, talk to my Polish support and thet did not knew about any BETA that works. TPLINK post some new firmware from november 2017 that didnt worked, and this BETA is older and it works thankfully. @TP-admin this BETA should be available on your official www!
