Hi guys!

I just bough the router TL-WR941HP (spanish mode)
Firmware: 3.16.9 Build 20170116 Rel.50912n
Version: TL-WR941HP v1 00000000

I'm trying to use it as access point for the router that my ISP gave me, I needed something that could reach a ridiculously signal-killing spot at home, and it works!

But the issue I'm having here is that my devices takes literally for ever to connect to the wifi. and some of them can't even access the internet after about 20 minutes after connected.

I've disabled the DNS server, set up a wpa2-psk security (aes encrypted) with MAC filtering, only the macs in the list can access the wifi and the SSID broadcasting is disabled. Beyond that, the potency of the signal is set to 100% (75%, the default wasn't enough to reach that sign death spot at home, which coincidentally is where my bed is placed, 100% fixed the issues yay!)
Oh and WPS is disabled.

That's pretty much all the config I have, guest network is disabled too and when I do access the internet everything is as fast as if I were connected by cable. But it's obvious I'm doing something wrong, it can't be that it takes so long (for what i see on my phone it's acutally several attempts to connect).

I'm connecting this router with a cable from a regular out of the main router to a regular out of the tp-link. I tried to use the wan port and it works but I've stuck to what I have done in the past.

My wifi devices are: an old mac book pro, a brother printer, an iPad pro and an iPhone X.

Can you give me some ideas on how to solve this issue?
