I am setting a fixed IP (192.168.1.2) on the RE350, the gateway is the IP of my router (192.168.1.1). I am not reserving this adress on the router, but it is not included in the dhcp range (192.168.1.10...100). No problems so far.

Cool, thanks for the additional info.

I'm going to do the same the next time I setup my router - leave a section of IP addresses out of the DHCP range as you have.
