Model :

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version : 2.0.1 Build 20171121 Rel. 61622

ISP :

HI, I bought this router, connected to the firewall, asked for firmware upgrade (done correctly and after i made a full reset) and configured in AP mode and disabled the internal DHCP.
Firmware Version: 2.0.1 Build 20171121 Rel. 61622
Hardware Version: Archer C2300 v1.0

Now start my problems:
- In Status window i have 0 wired clients and 0 wireless clients ... all my 9 wireless devices going great on internet using the Archer C2300.
- No way to find a mac address filtering menu .... got the wrong product? It's a 150$ device.
- Firmware upgrade menu still "Unable to connect to the cloud server please try again later"
Sorry in advance for my bad english.

List of Broken and/or Missing Functionality
2017-12-28 06:51:55
I have the same exact issue and I just spent an hour today on the phone talking to a support rep about it. They started a ticket with engineering and CC'ed me so I'm going to get an email back (supposedly within a day).

Basically, this firmware seems both buggy and feature-incomplete. Once you switch this router to access point mode, various features break/disappear that shouldn't.

Here is what I've discovered thus far. I'll update if/when I find out more.

Lost Features
VPN
[*]Tether App (Cloud Service for sure, but I can't even use it locally)
[*]Dynamic DNS
[*]Guest Networks
[*]Performance Status (CPU/Memory Usage)
[*]Security (Access Control & IP/MAC Binding)
[*]Static Routes

Broken Features

Wired/Wireless Clients List (always shows as empty)
[*]WAN Port should be bridged into switch, but this doesn't seem to happen (not 100% sure of this)

Lost Settings

Custom DNS Servers (when DHCP off)
[*]Custom Gateway (when DHCP off)
[*]DNS Host Name

Finally I received an e-mail from the helpdesk asking me to send screenshot about the problem ..... Screenshot of the menu items that can not be viewed? I'm a bit frustrtated, waiting for the new firmware.

I'm not sure if this will help, but just activated my AC2300 on Jan. 4, 2018 and the firmware update that I downloaded was: 2.0.0 Build 20170922 Rel. 32364(5553/5553). I am not having any problems

I did update to the same version 3 weeks back and my new c2300 was loosing 5g connections to certain devices especially the ones having newer android version and OS11 ipad.( Will connect ok in beginning but later after a day or so will fail to obtain IP address and will connect to my 2.4g with out any issue.) Worked with tech support for 2 weeks ended up returning the unit for replacement.
Currently the new unit is having the original firmware ( Rel: 28711) and is working good, but do not have antivirus and homecare options working. I am little worried to update and see the 5g fail after that. It looks like you do not have that issue. hope fully you are running some wireless devices on newer android versions. Can you verify this please. Thanks in advance.

It's been almost a week and still no issues with Rel 32364. I don't have any android devices on this one, but my iphones (OS11 and later) and other devices relying on wifi are working fine .

Thanks txres9999. I did try the same update as you did and all seems to be working fine for last three days. So most probably I had a bad hardware on my earlier unit.

slow LAN speeds
2018-01-11 10:42:15
I cant get over 50mpbs from LAN ports. everything else works fine. internal speed test shows 600, wifi 300 but LAN ports cap at 50mbps.

if I switch my NIC to 100mbps I can get that speed. if I try to use 1000mpbs full I get capped at 50. so something about being connected at 1Gpbs slows my internet down to 50mbps for LAN ports only.

direct to modem, wifi, internal speed test all fine. Just LAN ports cap at 50.

Anyone seen this?

I have tried 2 different devices and 2 of the latest firmware. all the same issue. its boggling my mind. any help is appreciated.
