Hello, I installed a TL-WN723N v3 on Windows 10 64-bit. The driver date is 12/10/2015, version 1030.3.0831.2015. I noticed that the adapter is working well, but it is also broadcasting a strange SSID, like:

DIRECT-SNMASTERmsQI or in another case: DIRECT-FLMASTERmsGN. Note that MASTER is the hostname of my PC.

I am worried why is my network adapter brodcasting any SSID? For trying I removed this driver and let Windows 10 automatically install its Microsoft driver, but the result is the same. Can I disable SSID broadcast on the network adapter? It is not possible in the TP-Link utility, the SoftAP button is not ticked and it is greyed out.

Hello p0et, thanks you found the solution! The Microsoft virtual WiFi miniport adapter was enabled for some reason. When I disabled it, it disappeared, and so did the strange SSID broadcast.
