Hello everyone! I have a brand new C3150 v2 that I just installed and updated to the latest firmware (2.1.0 0.9.1 v005f.0 Build 170927 Rel.57074n). Initially, the 5G band was visible on all devices, after the update it was gone. It is enabled and the SSID is NOT hidden. Is there a fix for this?

I am experiencing the same issue. I have a brand new c3150 v2 purchased a few weeks ago. I set it up yesterday. Out of the box, worked great! As soon as I did the firmware update, the 5Ghz will not allow devices to access the internet. Some devices canot even see the 5Ghz channel while others can see it but it reports no Internet connection.

This seems like an obvious firmware issue. Can this be addressed ASAP? I have tried turning off SMART. 2.4Ghz works fine. I have tried to use a lower number channel from the FAQ in this thread. Nothing works!

I have a few weeks to send this back to Amazon. Once I do that, I will need to purchase a working router.

It's most definitely a firmware issue. I downgraded to the previous firmware build dated August--and 5G was visible again! I can't possibly be one of only two or three people who ran into this issue. Pretty lame, tp-link. Go, and fix your firmware!

I have a return issued to Amazon. This will give me two routers to play with for a short period of time. I can rule out a buggy 5GHz radio with a second router.

It's official. I bought a second c3150 v2, upgraded to latest firmware and the 5Ghz drops the internet connection. Can someone looking to this please?

I have emailed support. No response.

I am gonna need a useable. updateable router soon. And soon means returning this one the Amazon, and going with a different brand. (not a threat, just a fact based on customer need.)
