Archer C1200 EU v1 - low download speed via cable and wi-fi
Model : Archer C1200
Hardware Version : Archer C1200 EU v1.0
Firmware Version : 1.0.0 Build 20160608 rel.53974 (EU)
ISP :
Hey everyone.
I just bought this router and it's performance is really low both LAN and WI-FI wise. Here are the results of the LAN speed test. I get 70-80 mb/s download speed when the cable is directly plugged into my PC.
I have tried almost everything(except firmware update): restart, factory reset, disable QOS, disable everything, except ipv4, but LAN download speed remains ~4 mb/s, upload ~50 mb/s. Wi-fi speed is much worse, about 2 mb/s on both 2.4 and 5 GGZ channels.
Network cards is 1GB/s, the cable supports it too. So, When I plug the cable directly into PC, the download speed is approx. 80 mb/s. So this huge internet speed drop is caused by the router(
I also noticed that the router's CPU load is always above 50%.
Can some one help please?
I will really appreciate any help.
Thanks!
