Hi HiSpeed,

Yes, that is correct. I initially connected the C7 to my router via its WAN port and hung a PC off one of the LAN ports, but just now I tried it the other way round and it still works, so it does seem like in access point mode it just converts the WAN port to an additional LAN port, which is useful as it effectively adds an additional port.

I’m confused, my TP-Link is set up as an access point, lan to lan, dhcp turned off on the TP router, IP address under LAN is set aka a static one from the range of the main router.You don’t use a WAN uplink.

This creates, acts like an extension of the main router, addition ports, plus new WiFi. A computer on the main router can talk to a machine on the B router, vise a versa. Have you tried that test, running of the WAn port of the TP to a LAN port main router? My understanding is a WAN off the TP router, to a LAN main router should be set up on a different subnet then the main router.
