Getting only 144.5mbps instead of supposed 300 mbps.

Hi, today i bought a wireless mini adapter on USB : TL-WN823N because i thought it could handle my router's 300mbps speed. But, after i installed it, checking my windows, i only got 144.5 mbps : https://imgur.com/VvPRnVM

these were taked sitting right next to the router, and i am totally sure that i am receiving 300mbps from my ips and from my router ( TL-WR1043N )
Please help me, i have tried anything that was written in that "frequently asked questions" option on tplink's site, but i still receive 144.5 mbps or 130 mbps (When i change some settings)
