How to Disable Beamforming on Deco M5
How to Disable Beamforming on Deco M5

I've had troubles where my Nest Cam Outdoor disconnects for 10-15min, at least 2-3 times a day. Then re-connects without any trouble. There's been no Internet outage. I read on the Netgear forums that disabling implict beamforming on their mesh wifi seems to solve the issue.
Does anyone know how to do this on the Deco M5?
Source:
Try this to see if it stops your intermittent disconnects: In Advanced / Advanced Setup / Wireless Settings / Uncheck "Enable Implicit BEAMFORMING"

you can try to restart Deco units to make sure the connection is good.
Don't think Deco support beamforming.

The Deco M5 is plagued with issues. In particular the android application will not indicate an active online status for node, and neither will the "blue/green light" on top. If a signal node is rebooted the rest of your MESH network may remain off line, until you take drastic action like re-provisioning nodes. There seems to be no good way of knowing if you selected a good place for your node. There appears to be little, or ineffectiving steer of devices to the correct bands. So you iphone might be sitting on a very slow 2.4 GHz connection when it is in range for a much faster 5.0 GHz connection.
@zimou13
I am seeing none of that with current firmware and the latest Android app.
The android app will show you the status of each node if you click on the 'Internet' globe on the Overview page.
The Deco LED's work as I would expect, solid green unless there's a problem. I can turn off any Deco, and it will come back within a couple of minutes of turning back on, provided the master Deco is alive and well. I've not had to delete and recreate the mesh network at all since updating firmware via the app.
I've had no issues with devices that could use 5GHz connections using 2.4Ghz instead, although I have seen my phone grab a 2.4 signal when it's stronger than the 5 signal. However, what gets used seems more likely to be a function of device OS, rather than Deco.
I do have other issues with Deco (dropping connection to the router and internet, and needing a router reboot to get things working again), but will start a new thread once I've got a better idea what is going on there.

You can Shop for TP-Link Deco M5 Whole-Home Wi-Fi System. At $299 for a set of three units, TP-Link's Deco M5 has more to offer than other similarly priced systems, like the Google Wifi, or the Luma. ... The Deco M5 includes three identical units; each is a router with two network ports.
