Model : Archer C1200

Hardware Version : V2

Firmware Version : 2.0.2 Build 20180118 rel.38979 (EU)

ISP :

I've just recently bought a C1200 router and I'm very disappointed that I cannot get a stable Wifi connection. The router keeps constantly disconnecting from Wifi (all devices in the network get disconnected, on 2.4 and 5ghz; Wifi SSID disappears from the list). This happens randomly, but too often. The connection usually drops for about 15 seconds, and then reconnects back itself. No need to restart the router. Wired connection seems to be unaffected.

I upgraded to the newest firmware (2.0.2 Build 20180118 rel.38979 (EU)) before I even began to use the router, so I don't know if original firmware has the same problems.
All I know is that my old router had no such problems, the devices on the network didn't change so I expect some kind of solution or else I will have to return this product because it's unacceptable.

Regards,
Simas

Same model and version and I have the same problems.

I've tried with beta FW 2.0.2 Build 20180308 rel.38281 (EU) but I have the same error. This is a frustating situation.

I ended up returning it. Don't have time or energy to fight it.

Same story here. Got it for 60 eur, to replace older tplink-842nd.

Boy i was wrong... It has more issues than angry ex-gf:
- Poor Lan speeds (less than 400 mbp/s in enviroment of 1gb device interfaces, that connected directly have 800+ mbps transfer)
- Device rebooting at random
- Reboot loop occasionally
- Causes drops in outgoing vpn connection (no firewall, no dos, tls soft resets, timeouts.... )
- Poor ddns service provider options
- Tp-link cloud account (yes, some one will have it one day, eventually)

In short, do not buy it, ain't worth.

@pechius  same here with Archer c1200 v1, but after some further investigation, look like the router is routing for IPv6 instead of IPv4 via WiFi.

My solution is;

1. Reset to factory setting.

2. Setup the PPPOE (I am using TM Unifi) connection via the Advanced Tab.

The most important thing is NEVER try to configure the IPv6 or touching any IPv6 section at the router management dashboard.

@pechius Anyone else found an answer?

My streaming and everything else is fine.

But getting intermittent "Destination Net Unreachable" error in my ping log.

It stays for 3-5 seconds and reconnects.  So mostly on Teams/Zoom calls, I catch it happening (usualy browsing doesn't surface this issue much and goes undetected)
