TL-WN725N not connecting on 1803 Windows 10 update

I've had issues with 2 separate Windows 10 1803 update PCs where the USB adapter seems to install OK and sometimes connects to the wireless SSID but either drops out or the speed is extremely slow. Solved by fitting a PCI card instead. Both these machines were trying to connect to BT Home Hubs - so may be an issue with compatibility with these hubs? Latest drivers installed, etc.
