TL-WR940N - loses wired internet connection - is it sleeping?

I am using a TL-WR940N to extend my home network. It is connected to my main router by a cable through the house. It regularly loses the internet signal (shows an orange light), yet when i power down and up, it finds it again (blue light). Is it going to sleep? Or is there some other issue? Can anyone help? thanks
